Last night the kids and Tom gave me a cake for my birthday a little early. They tried to be sneaky about it. Tom whispered to them in the corner of the kitchen and they were "keeping it quiet" while at the same time saying "can we give Mom her cake now?" right in front of me.
While we were eating it Logan told me I needed cake because my belly hurt. The he said "Your tummy is hurt. You need to eat cake and feel better and be sparkly."

The funniest on going bit is "let's keep this quiet" in a low voice with a finger pressed to his lips. This pops up whenever he is asking Tom to do anything he knows mom might say no to. Like changing his shirt to the same one he wore yesterday or watching another show or getting a treat. I's all delivered with a very straight face.
He doesn't cry when I leave him in nursery any more. He really loves his teachers! But when I come to pick him up he squishes my face between his hands and says "Mama! You came back!" over and over. He face lights up like he won the lottery. And it's the only time he ever calls me mama. When I come home from somewhere or pick him up somewhere.
